Review: Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

When it comes to foundations I struggled for a while researching which foundation range would suit both my skin tone and type. I have normal-oily skin type. My forehead and nose tend to get quite oily throughout the day while my cheeks are very normal and even in general. My skin tone is cool toned however I am not particularly pale but I find certain face products to just look bright orange on me.
Anyway, lets just get on to the review.

This foundation has an SPF of 18 and claims to adapt to your skin tone to create your perfect matchThe shade selection in this foundation, as with most drugstore foundations, does not cater to particularly dark skin tones, although they do have some good options for paler skins. The shade I went for is the lightest shade in the range, 010 Light Porcelain which is a pink toned quite pale shade. The next shade up in the range in 'Ivory'. It is pretty much the same shade but with a more yellow tone for warmer skin tones. The packaging for this foundation is really good considering it's to cheap. It comes with a pump (yay!) and is housed in a nice glass bottle.

Upon first application, the foundation is not overly dewy but on the cheekbones it leaves a beautiful glow without it being glittery like the Wake Me Up foundation. It provide a nice light-medium coverage. It feels very nice on the skin and is not heavy at all. Strangely, the scent of this foundation is quite nice-like citrus. It does not make me any more oily than normal throughout the day and last quite well throughout the day. I think it is the perfect finish as it isn't a powdery matte foundation but doesn't make me overly oily.

I would highly recommend this foundation to anyone as it doesn't cling to dry patches but it also doesn't give a overly oily finish and is a very purse-friendly product. It retails for €9.99 (for 30ml) usually but is currently on offer for €4.99 !!! Available here.
